So What? Now What! — Signal
Confidence: Watch — Competitive objection genuinely expiring
The Neat Board 32 launch is less about a new screen and more about Neat quietly reducing its dependence on Zoom.
What Happened: Neat Board 32
Neat began shipping the Board 32, a 32-inch all-in-one touchscreen, and the Pad Pro controller worldwide, announced on 16 June via a BusinessWire release timed to InfoComm 2026. Both run Neat OS on Android 15, arrive certified for Google Meet, carry Microsoft's MDEP standard, and list Zoom certification as in progress.
So What
Forget the hardware for a moment. Neat made its name as Zoom's premium room partner, with Zoom backing it early, so it says something that Board 32 and Pad Pro ship certified for Google Meet while Zoom certification sits pending and Microsoft's MDEP standard comes built in. Read that as Neat easing off a single-vendor bet, and Neat Open, its BYOD platform in trials for a Q3 launch, works the same angle: rooms that join whatever meeting the user brings.
Buyers get less lock-in and a cleaner case for standardising on Neat across a mixed estate. It also strips the 'Zoom-only' objection that rivals like Logitech, Poly and Yealink used to cap where Neat could sell. The 'advanced intelligence' framing is a refresh with AI notes attached; the platform hedging is the move that matters.
Now What
Competitive and product-marketing leads at rival device makers should retire the 'Zoom-only' objection they have leaned on against Neat, because it is expiring. Product marketing owns the reset. Escalate if Zoom certification lands and Neat Open ships on schedule with multi-platform support, which would confirm Neat as a platform-neutral standard rather than a Zoom accessory.
